About Us

From the Principal's Desk

Unitech Lae School of Nursing is happy to introduce itself to the viewers. Unitech Lae School of Nursing was first built as a European Hospital in 1945 and converted to a nursing institution in 1965. Over the years, various programs have been conducted beginning with the Territorial program and then changed to Enrolled Hospital Nurse, to Nurse Aid, then to Community Health Worker program and finally in 1989 to the General Nurse program.

The Institution believes that each nursing student is unique and desires to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to graduate as a registered nurse with the vision to meet the PNG National Department of Health need for Nurses. Today, the Nurses trained by us are spread all over the country, well placed in the top most positions in the Nursing Career.

The Unitech Lae School of Nursing believes in quality education with a student first policy. To go along with our philosophy, the college is equipped with modern educational technology, well fitted laboratories and qualified teachers with established subject departments.

The main advantage of joining Unitech Lae School of Nursing is the continuous cordial support and attachment from the Angau Memorial General Hospital staff and its great facilities in enabling students clinical training 24 x 7 hours in a safe environment. We welcome you to join hands with us and let's make a change in health care.
